At Millennium Martial Arts in Vaughan we teach Goju Ryu Karate. The style of Karate we offer at Millennium Martial Arts in Vaughan is Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate,
originated in Okinawa Japan."Go" is the Japanese word for hardness and
"Ju" is the word for softness. This style of Karate is based on the
concept that all hardness and
stiffness
is not good. On the other hand all softness and too much gentleness is
not good. The two should complement each other just like ying and yang.
Combining the two gives Goju Ryu Karate, beautiful and graceful
movements yet filled with strength. The movements are sometimes
extremely fast and other times slow almost majestic. Goju Ryu Karate is
an aggressive style with hard multi-directional blows delivered without
effort in rapid succession.
